These are negatives that are scratched off because a jealous husband who never let his wife out by herself. He was upset because his wife had left their house to take these photos without his permission. He demanded the artist to give him the the pictures. When the artist would not agree they came to the agreement to scratch the negatives with a pin. Years later he came back to the artist asking for these photos and any other ones that the artist may have taken of his wife, his wife had burned herself to death to escape his misery.
